This game is designed to be hyper efficient and consume very little battery. But more on that later. What is the game?

It's basically OutRun(1986), but, with vectors! It's just you and the open highway. At least it would be, if it weren't for traffic! So, dodge the traffic to win. Easy. Some traffic is harder to dodge than other traffic, but, minor details. things also go faster over time for a nice difficulty ramp that stops short of throwing you into a hard wall.

Controls and animations are precise smooth and fluid, especially on the watch.

That crown wheel is smoother and more precise than your typical app would have you believe!  It's required on the watch but on the phone? Swipe to steer works very well. It makes swipey print marks tha   er       it           uh...just works! yeah!

 

Now for the performance and efficiency: This code flies! And it does so not just with ease but simplicity. The vast majority of the math we do is: add1, sub1, div2, mult2. Those are the 4 simplest calculations a cpu can perform.  On top of that we primarily deal with straight lines. 

"draw a line from pixel a to pixel b" is the simplest draw operation a gpu can perform.  So, while the gpu is operating at one power level above sleep (on the watch!) the cpu is at disneyland! Infact, the cpu is able to process everything it needs to in ~1000th the time it takes for the gpu to draw the frame! (on.the.watch!)

Don't even get me started about the color green. Anti-aliasing? hah!

What kind of battery savings did all this bring about? with a pixel10 pro in airplane mode, you could play this game for ~73 hours! on a pixel4 watch with normal settings you could play for an hour and only drain ~10% battery!

You know those moments in which your phone battery is low but you still want to do something to distract yourself? This is the game for that! Unlike most other games we save you power vs most anything else you could be doing short of just staring at the calculator app!


At some point in development a question struck me and never left: 

Why not let more's law win?

Why not do the simplest operations possible and perform them as infrequently as possible? that led to this. I think you will appreciate the results.

No adds No dlc No analytics

Both versions are one, we simply ask the system "watch or phone?" on startup and configure thusly.

Want to try it as it was meant to be played, on the watch? Well leave it to google to simplify that! Simply download android studio, their official trusted and free developer program. Within it is an ai, tell it to "push this apk to my watch wirelessly" and it will walk you through pairing and send it itself. 

You can ask, "look through the code and tell me what you think" Note: if you are a free tier user tokens are limited, "I am a free tier user I want to do x how can we do that without burning all my tokens?" 

tip, if you tinker and break something: "lets start over with a fresh apk, overwrite the old files" instead of chasing ghosts.
